This book was told from multiple POV and I really enjoyed this book muchthen book one This book still has some problems in the author writing as it took me some time to connect with the characters I really prefer an almost immediate connection as then when I read I m not struggling I was glad to see that Nathan was finally getting his own story However this book seems to dealwith Tiny House here in large part because it wasn t the only thing going on These two men have a lot of history, both individually and with each other It would have been unfair to both of them if they d wrapped it up tidily on page three.I loved Nathan already in Buchanan House, and I was so ready to see him get his happily ever after But Paulie, for me, was the one I related to Their story isn t a slow bloom or even a traditional friends to lovers tale It s a complicated dance, and neither of them wants to give in first When they finally finally get together, as we know they will, the moment matches the whole tone of their relationship It s sweet, steamy, and has just a hint of the insecurities which characterize their love story. The side characters are fantastic, and a couple of them make me think this isn t the last we ll see of Buchanan House and its inhabitants There are also some indications we may get to see some other complex relationships play out The secondary characters are as interesting and have as much depth as the main couple.About the only thing I can say I wasn t sure about was the ending It was great, but it felt like a little too much, a little too long But that s for sure personal preference, not a flaw with the story. This is not a book for people who want a very traditional romance It s quirky, interesting, and touches on some deep and emotional subjects, such as Paulie s weight, Nathan s self image, and tricky family dynamics This isn t done in a hyper emotional way it s handled with humor and heart As someone who can get bogged down in too many heavy feelings, I prefer the lighter touch, though other readers may feel differently. All in all, this was a great addition to the series and only served to fuel my hope forabout these delightful characters.I received a free copy via Inked Rainbow in exchange for an honest review @Free Å Tiny House ⚠ A Buchanan House Love StoryPride weekend is over, but for Nathan Lucas, the summer is just heating up He appears to have it all He s tall and blond, ripped and handsome, and half owner of Buchanan House, a successful gay retreat on Oregon s beautiful central coast But his joie de vivre hides a fear of abandonment When he was twelve his mother had triplets, and instead of the cherished only child, Nathan became a scapegoat for his exhausted parents, and he has never truly dealt with that painPortland chef Paulie Nesbitt is head over heels in love with Nathan They ve been drinking buddies with benefits for years, while Paulie has not so secretly yearned for Paulie s extra pounds and self doubt have kept him from acting on his feelings Their friends know they would make the perfect couple, but Nathan and Paulie will have to let go of past insecurities if they want a future together Reviewed for Just Love Romance Tiny House is the third book in the Buchanan House series I haven t read the first two but I didn t feel like I needed to in order to keep up with the story You could tell in certain situations it probably would have beenenjoyable to know the history but I looked at it as that I was just the new friend who s still getting to know everyone Seems fitting since the diverse cast are very loyal and supportive to their friends and open to making new ones as well Reviewed for Just Love Romance Tiny House is the third book in the Buchanan House series I haven t book is supposed to be a romance about two longtime friends, Paulie and Nathan, but they barely speak to each other even on the rare occasions when they re together It made it difficult to see any chemistry between them and I couldn t bring myself to care whether or not they would get their HEA Thankfully the story is told from dual POV because the book would ve been very one sided otherwise There was muchinteraction between each MC with the side characters which isn t a terrible thing but it didn t leave much room for me to get to know Paulie and Nathan as a potential couple. What I took away from this story is that for as much as they love each other, they won t allow themselves to act on their feelings until they ve overcome their issuesNobody has to be perfect to be loved Just being you is enough Nathan has to work through feeling abandoned by his family and Paulie must get past his negative self image These issues are brought up several times and they do end up finding themselves in a better place but it happens with a lot of show and little tell Maybe it s just me but I d rather skip the implications and go along for the ride as they fully explore exactly what it is they need to do to get what they want.I felt the writing was disjointed and hard to follow at times Grammatical errors and a ton of abrupt sentences thrown in for emphasis were a distraction in the flow of the narrative I found myself rereading passages to be sure I was fully grasping what the characters were trying to say I also would ve liked to have seenemotional reactions inserted into the dialogue when the characters were speaking at length This wasn t a major issue but there were times when I thought I had an idea of what the tone should be but since no description was given I was left to interpretation On a positive note, I will say that Descoteaux does a good job describing all the details of the setting I was ready to pack my bags and move right into that cottage with the ocean views.Aside from a few minor peaks in the story arc this one flatlines most of the way through Holding out for a grand gesture at the end was a bit of a clich and sends the message that if you do absolutely nothing to earn your love interest s heart, doing something extreme will automatically have them leaping into your arms and bed The fantastical events that follow had me hoping that each page turned would be the last.Trigger Warning Several of the characters use alcohol abuse as a coping mechanism and while it s mentioned that the worst offender should quit the unhealthy lifestyle, it s never fully addressed and treatment is not explored This may be a sensitive topic for some I received an advanced copy of this novel in exchange for a fair and honest review Grammatical issues mentioned above may change in the final version. men had some serious feelings for one another but they were nothingthen best friends and sometimes hook up buddies with no strings attached even though they both wanted so muchfrom each other In this book we the readers get to see so muchof what the issues is these two men have with not being honest with the other about their feelings. It is sad really because Paulie and Nathan missed out on so much time together because of their different insecurities They have known and been in love with each other for 18 years but they have never maned up and told each other how they felt until it was almost too late for the both of them.Paulie has issues with not feeling good enough for Nathan because of his extra weight and he does not feel that he is good enough because he cannot see himself the same way Nathan does.Nathan has issues with not feeling good enough for Paulie because he has abandonment issues and is afraid he is a bad person inside and that no one stay once they realize that even though that is the furthest from the truth I broke my heart that these two men loved the other so much and completed one another but they was both so insecure with themselves that they was willing to let the other go because of it.As stated before this book has so many emotions in it and I cannot wait till the next book comes out I can only hope the next book will be about Kyle, Brandon or Evan Those are three that I am interested in seeing what is to come for them either separately or together Great job thus far on this series and cannot wait forto come. Was given this book for free coast He is a stunning blond with love and trust issues perpetuated by his family history Paulie is a successful chef and insecure with his physical appearance. There is a lot happening in Tiny House So much so it tends to detract from the Nathan Paulie story Significant time is spent building the Buchanan House family with its transitioning characters, romances a plenty, and family drama All of which is well written with promise for each as its own storyline Don t get me wrong, the family that is being built here is beautiful, accepting, caring, and warm.FAMILY WITH ITS TRANSITIONING CHARACTERS, ROMANCES A PLENTY, AND FAMILY DRAMAThe main characters Nathan and Paulie are an adorable couple who fumble along, loving each other from the sidelines. They are sweet and funny, but blind to the strong connection that exists between them The reasoning behind their blindness is understandable, especially given their histories and perceptions of life.My mind sees Nathan as the stunning blond Jock type, and Paulie as the handsome dad bod sporting sexy, reddish scruff The pairing and connection that is finally reached between them is heartwarming and their connection with the reader is strong.THE PAIRING AND CONNECTION THAT IS FINALLY REACHED BETWEEN THEM IS HEARTWARMINGTiny House left me satisfied and I suspect the character building is all setup for the future escapades that will happen at Buchanan House Will I visit Buchanan House again Why yes, I will happily enter this gay retreat anytime Original review on Molly LollyThree and a half stars I was so excited for this But it went on too long I reached a point reading the story that I stopped understanding why they were apart Literally everyone else in the story was telling them to stop being dramatic Both Nathan and Paulie were repeatedly told they both love each other and how obvious it was to everyone around them I needed both of them to figure it out a good three or four chapters earlier.Once they did, they were so beautiful together They are so happy together and their love is so complete and full it bursts from the page Both Nathan and Paulie s need to make happy, and affection for their friends is wonderful They work to ensure others are on the road to happiness and find their own happy endings as well.I love the family created in these stories with all the people involved in making Buchanan House a success and those they re brining into the fold There are still plenty others that I want to see happy endings for and people I want to grow and be happy I hope the series continues because I
