A cute book for young children showing that everyone has their own tastes in food. Confetti is a little bird who is very hungry He wanders and tells his friends of his plight and they all offer what they like to eat, but he refuses all the items they like When he finally comes upon his mother, she has an assortment of his favorites and he happily consumes them all to which his friends react with a loud Yuck The illustrations are beautifully colorful and simple A charming story for PK K. I actually decided to read this one b c the artwork on the inside pages reminded me of jammer stars on helmets weird I know Of course the book had nothing to do with roller derby but it was still very cute Loved the zebra cameo Gosh, I love these illustrations I thought it was going to turn out like The Big Wide Mouth Frog, but it took a safer, simpler turn Kids will enjoy helping out with the Yum and Yuck parts Might spark a discussion about what animals eat.
