LWould 100% recommend to ages 9 and over Perfect for 11 12 Nice to see the themes of young carers, kleptomania and agoraphobia included in a way that didn t seem too in your face and obvious Tense right from the get go and the plot went somewhere I really didn t see coming, which is rare for a YA book What a great read No adult content e.g bad language, sex or drug alcohol abuse Love issue based thrillers This book was made to be particularly poignant at the Worcestershire Teen Book Awards when a young girl gave a presentation on her experience of being a Young Carer and how much it meant to her to see a character like her represented in fiction and raising these issues. This book was so cleverly done, making the ending brilliant and unexpected This is a fantastic but quick read Definitely a must read i loved this book there was so many secrets revealed if you like mystery don t hesitate to pick this book up it was amazing Anni is a young carer to her mother who is disabled after an accident and has agoraphobia But when a group of supposed terrorists take over their attic, she discovers secrets about her past that change everything This is a gripping page turner with lots of suspense and the story turning into something unexpected The main character, Anni, is twelve so it s a good book for both KS2 and KS3 students I see that Booktrust have selected it as one of their 2016 Bookbuzz selections a great choice Anni is a young carer to her mother who is disabled after an accident and has agoraphobia But when a group of supposed terrorists take over their attic, she discovers secrets about her past that change everything This is a gripping page turner with lots of suspense and the story turning into something unexpected The main character, Anni, is twelve so it s a good book for both KS2 and KS3 students I see that Booktrust have selected it as one of their 2016 Bookbuzz selections a great choice as this will be a popular read
