I was prompted to read this book after seeing the movie I Am Not Ashamed The movie was great and Rachel s story really is inspiring So, strange occurrence as to how I got this book I am an avidshopper I am notorious for adding a zillion things to my cart and then saving them for later Something oddly satisfying about doing that Anyway, after seeing the movie I went on to myApp and added every book on Rachel that I could find and a few other columbine ones as well I took I was prompted to read this book after seeing the movie I Am Not Ashamed The movie was great and Rachel s story really is inspiring So, strange occurrence as to how I got this book I am an avidshopper I am notorious for adding a zillion things to my cart and then saving them for later Something oddly satisfying about doing that Anyway, after seeing the movie I went on to myApp and added every book on Rachel that I could find and a few other columbine ones as well I took a screenshot and sent it to my husband saying that if he ever wanted to give me a just because gift, I d be stoked with any of the following books this one of course being on there We laughed it off and 30 minutes later I received an order confirmation for this book, odd because he doesn t have access to myaccount I asked him anyway and he denied having bought the book So when I went to look at the app, the book was still in my cart weird It was also purchased I don t know how this happened but took it as a complete God shot and read the book It has a great message, a little young for me I d say, being that I am 26 I m not too keen on the idea that it was written as if it was her I enjoyed reading her writings and I admire her passion for God and her willingness to go after him, and be honest when she staggered a few steps back Overall I enjoyed the heart felt message I am glad I read it, as I still was able to gain inspiration I just wish I d have this as a young teen Also, I d have liked it better if it had not been written as Rachel andif it was written from her mother family and their experience of who she was while coinciding it with her journal entries.That s it for me Powerful and inspiring I felt privileged to look into the life of a young teen girl who had the courage to allow God to change her heart and be her Rock Thank you. I loved this book.
