know there are people who fear progress and change To them I say, Go into the forest and try living for a day without sanitation, without your iPhone, without a gun to shoot the wolves that want to eat you, and without antibiotics for the gangrene you might get from a simple cut Then come back and tell me you still want to go back to the caveman days Your family, she says It must be nice to have people who care about you so much I guess, I say, shrugging Though it can be sometimes a nuisance People never appreciate what they have There s a bitter note in her voice, and I wince internally as I remember that her parents are dead So we re supposed to dislike them because they hate us, and avoid them for the same reason If they apply the same logic, isn t that a Catch 22 You want illusions, is that it You re old enough to know we re never in control of anything, she says, raising the sunglasses off her nose Your best bet is to enjoy things when life brings you something good, and tough it out as best you can when it brings you the usual shit storm I normally don t read serial novels I am too impatient to wait for the next ones to come out Like super impatient and then I lose interest had with the various characters in the book His moms which was another first for me I haven t read a book with a character who had same sex parents , Mira, Eugene, Colin, Bert, Hilary.he had a complex and in depth relationship with each of them It was refreshing to read that I also liked that the author made him out to be normal with an extra talent. The violence element was a little much, though. But, and stress but, all the killing and violence are essential to the storyline And don t get me wrong, I am not a prude or anything, it is just it got numbing after a while. The ending of this series was what I expected and I wasn t surprised Disclaimer I received Mind Dimensions Omnibus Volumes 0 4 for free through Tomoson for my honest review All opinions in my review are mine and mine alone Fun read A little over a year ago I read the.5, 1, 2 volumes of this series I just re read them along with the remaining volumes Darren narrates the activity in first person voice so it s easy down through generations of selective breeding However the mind controlling Guides and the mind reading Readers are at war with each other Somehow Darren s parents sidestepped the hatred between their respective camps, got married and had Darren Then they died Murdered of course Darren never knew this He was adopted and raised by a loving pair of moms This collection is about his life and his introduction to his lineage and all kinds of crazy stuff that ensues in the process All in all, this was an entertaining series Loved it Some slow parts but still great. Its a great story Theres a see who ends up together but it he doesnt go in depth about their romances. There are some things I wish Zales expanded onand I do wish the end to the series had a littleclosure but I did enjoy the book a lot Pretty good, but This story was outstanding in the beginning, but I just couldn t finish it The concept is interesting and I had no trouble buying into it, but basically the main character never shuts up and I simply couldn t take all of the dialogue For example, the hero of the story is told that if he doesn t get himself to his mother then his mother will die So does he make sure to get himself home in time to save his mother Well yes, but only after debating with the person who warned him Pretty good, but This story was outstanding in the beginning, but I just couldn t finish it much dialogue that I eventually lost track of the story At that point I just gave up I give it 4 stars because despite being 4 books I flew through them I simply appreciate the world the author built into our natural world The book was fast paced, featuring no shortage of action When the characters weren t in some sort of perilous conflict, the author killed two birds by making the characters interact in a way that both developed them and the world setting The well thought out back stories served to create the hidden world inside the reader s familiar world Considering ho I give it 4 stars sci fi fantasy, but it doesn t leave you with a lasting emotional toll Bonus points for being slightlyadult than young adult An overall interesting storybut some of the individual books could ve used some workIt s not often that I read an entire series so the fact that I read this one is really saying something I m glad that I started with book 1 instead of 0 since book 1 was outstanding while book 0 was rathernot Granted I am not fond of Mira s character but the writing itself seemed rather drab Book 2 was similarly not that enthralling While it was better than book 0, the story didn t come alive like it di An overall interesting storybut some of the individual books could ve used some workIt s not often that I read an entire series so the fact that I read this one is really saying I wish I could read it again and again high praise from me as I don t like to read anything multiple times and experience it new every time The premise is INSANE and wonderful and outrageous and, captivating Stopping time, engaging with others without their knowledge The levels, the imagination, I am truly speechless and want to read all if the books again
