Nice easy read to help the mojo back, this is the second book from this author and I have enjoyed them both. I always enjoy reading Susan Sallis and Five Farthings was no exception Main character, Jess Tavener is in for a few nasty surprises when her life is turned upside down by personal tragedy and her discovery that every member of her family have been keeping secrets from her As these secrets particularly those of her husband are brought to light, Jess falls deeper into despair Help, of a sort, is offered, and we re left wondering right up to the book s end if this will be enough. First time in my life I was deceived by a book cover Yes the cover was eye catching and I also read the description on the back page and thought this would be a nice read but gosh it was a big mistake I ve never read such a lame book As soon as I finished it, I gave it to a friend of mine as a gift not a very close friend and got rid of this junk Susan Sallis Never again I liked this book, even though I still found it a little strange I do seem to find a lot of Susan Sallis books a little strange, even if I have liked elements of them I liked it, but didnt love it. I really enjoyed this book Jess had some hard times to cope with and untangled along the way, everyone has a breaking point.I would read this again.
