`Read Pdf à Final del juego Ø Final del juego es una de las colecciones de cuentos m s importantes de la segunda mitad del siglo XX Empe ado en transgredir las leyes de la narrativa convencional, en estos dieciocho relatos Julio Cort zar combina la intertextualidad, un uso in dito de lo coloquial y el juego interminable para hacer entrar al lector en un particular simo universo donde nada es lo que parece No se trata de simple literatura a lo que nos invita el autor argentino es a sospechar de la seriedad y el racionalismo cr dulo de nuestro mundo Continuidad de los parques , Los venenos , Axolotl o La noche boca arriba son algunos de los m ticos relatos que componen este imprescindible volumen Very solid collection of short stories, and I m obsessed with Cort zar s prose Cort zar creates several conflicts in me Sometimes I like his writing, sometimes it is wonderful nap material But, there is a but Some of his short stories may start really slow, may have a lot of tedious details that makes me want to finish the whole thing right away, however, in the last paragraph, or in the last two lines, he changes everything And suddenly, because I was not paying too much or in the last two lines, he changes everything And suddenly, because I was not paying too much attention to what I thought were boring details, I find myself lost Huh How did I get to this So I have to re read it And THEN I GET IT And it is amazing Most of the times Some other times, I still do not get it, so I have to do a little research, if my interpretation makes no sense at all That happened with a short story called No se culpe a nadie How long can you write about view spoiler a pullover On and on about a pullover, hands, hands, wool, hands, drool hide spoiler And when you least expect it that happens And you begin to understand a little bituntil you arrive to your own interpretation You usually see things that the author did not actually write He might have other intentions that you did not see And maybe, if it really interests you, you will obsessively look for the real meaning if it is explained because you want to know what was in that writer s head And then contemplate both, amazed, because a single story can create many different points of view And when I say you , yes I mean me Besides No se culpe a nadie , Final del Juego contains other little gems like Continuidad de los parques and El r o And bigger gems like La noche boca arriba , where dreams and reality seems to be the same, and Axolotl A story about one of the creepiest living things I have ever seen S lo una cosa era extra a seguir pensando como antes, saber Darme cuenta de eso fue en el primer momento como el horror del enterrado vivo que despierta a su destino 198 Only one thing was strange to go on thinking as usual, to know To realize that was, for the first moment, like the horror of a man buried alive awaking to his fate Cort zar is a challenging writer You never know where you are standing, until you finish reading the story He created his own playful, weird, twisted, complicated, beautiful and nostalgic style To me, there is a sense of home that never goes away Yes, a warm homey feeling, a bit different from, for example, Borges, a favorite of mine, whose work tends to bephilosophical, equally complicated They both play with reality and dreams until those boundaries disappear completely They do it in their own brilliantly unique ways Yes Two of the finest examples of Latin American literature.Oct 04, 13 Also in my blog Photo credit via Cortazario After a bunch of books I didn t really enjoy that much, this is finally one of the books I can say I really enjoyed And I can say it without hesitating at all Without a doubt, Cort zar is one of the best with him was thanks to a tale from it, Continuidad de los parques Continuity of the Parks in which a reader has quite an unusual experience from the point of narrative, but as soon as we get through it, we manage to see it s a perfect description of what happens when a book really gets our attention and we get inside the story I don t think it d be fair to spoil any major detail when it comes to Cort zar The tales are, as always surrounded by this apparently simple and daily language that breaks as soon as we try to interpret what it s being said.I knew some of the works exposed here, as I previously mentioned Despite being one of his earliest works when it comes to prose, it still has that charm that made his style so particuarly attractive, not only for argentine people but for the circle of people that like his literature all around the world This has some real moments of brilliance Even though some tales didn t caught my attention at first reading and maybe they will do it later, I can tell this is one of my favorite books If I needed any other proof of Cort zar s talent though in my opinion, if you like Hopscotch you like anything by him, it s that simple this is it.The best tales shown here in my opinion are Continuidad de los parques Continuity of the parks , No se culpe a nadie No one must be blamed , El r o The River , Las m nades The maenads , Una flor amarilla A yellow flower , Los amigos The friends , Relato con fondo de agua Tale with a water bottom , Axolotl, La noche boca arriba The faced up night and Final del juego End of the game. The topics of the stories are versatile though many of them seem focused on man woman relationships and childhood, contemplation of nature animalslife and death, daily routine events that seem normal but that with a great delivery of story telling turn into something interesting and worth reading even if it s a tale about a man attempting to try on a sweater, and I m being absolutely serious Another very mixed bag from the most marvelously wonderful Cort zar. Some good ones are The Night Face Up a guy has just had an accident on his motorcycle and is fading in and out of consciousness, but when he dreams, he s being carried to a pyre to be sacrificed by Aztecs and then of course it goes into the whole what if dreamlife is the real life and real life is all a dream, etc and Bestiary a little their house Interestingly, House Taken Over about, uh, what the title says it s about is echoed pretty directly in the Kelly Link story Stone Animals, which blew my mind for the millionth time last month I wonder if she is also a Cort zar fan Good lord, everything wonderful converges
